 Paid Ads Team Manager

Inflow is looking for a talented Paid Ads Team Manager to join and help lead a team of super-smart, passionate experts. The ideal candidate will have experience managing teams and at least four years of experience managing paid media campaigns, including paid search, display and retargeting. The candidate should have strong communication, organizational and time-management skills. The Paid Ads Team Manager will work closely with the VP of Services to manage the team and will also lead the overarching paid media strategy for a variety of clients.

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic planning sessions and team meetings
  • Review deliverables and provide feedback to other team members
  • Assist in new business efforts/sales pitches
  • Help create and execute educational initiatives for the paid media team such as developing internal resources and training sessions
  • Train, develop, and mentor junior strategists & coordinators to build their skillsets - share your depth of knowledge with team members and assist with strategy development and technical expertise
  • Stay on top of new and emerging industry trends, technologies, and platform advancements
  • Conduct weekly O3s with direct reports
  • Work with vendors and agency partners
  • Help develop integrated digital marketing strategies in collaboration with other departments and client teams 
  • Complete quarterly conversations for direct reports 
  • Provide continual feedback to team members on their individual performance  
  • Discuss performance issues with team members and set up a plan for resolution 
  • Identify opportunities for team member advancement (raises and/or promotions)  
  • Work with individual team members to set technical and training goals  
  • Review weekly 15Fives for direct reports 

Paid Search Responsibilities: 

  • Act / serve as a Paid Media subject matter expert
  • Develop, execute, manage and report on paid media strategies that support client goals
  • Experience managing large budgets and campaigns across multiple digital advertising channels including paid search, paid social, display, retargeting, video, etc.
  • A deep understanding of digital marketing tactics across channels
  • Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience
  • Manage and serve as the primary point of contact for 3-7 paid advertising clients. Be responsible for the strategy, prioritization, planning, and execution for client PPC strategies in Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other relevant platforms. 
  • Build highly effective Shopping, Search, Display, and Remarketing campaigns for eCommerce clients.
  • Have a curiosity for testing the latest and greatest smart and automated bidding strategies — paired with an insatiable desire to outperform those with manual strategies and creative segmentation
  • Define, monitor, and analyze performance trends against set KPIs.
  • Get creative! Test ad creative, landing pages, and audience targeting to drive results.
  • Help our clients get the most bang for their buck: Monitor spend performance and identify when budgets should be adjusted.
  • Get on the cutting edge: Evaluate emerging technologies, new campaigns and targeting strategies, etc. — then provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption, where appropriate.
  • Effectively translate results to clients in a way that’s tied to their internal objectives and KPIs. 
  • Recommend strategies and deliverables that will improve client results.
  • Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies with internal teams and clients.
  • Manage multiple clients’ expectations, strategies, budgets, and conversions.

Experience & Skills:

  • 2+ Years Managing or Leading Teams
  • 4+  years of experience running eCommerce paid advertising campaigns
  • Solid understanding of eCommerce, tracking and attribution, and the digital marketing industry
  • Deep data and analytical skills; ability to make data-driven decisions. 
  • Experience in implementing tracking/phone call/remarketing code snippets (think tracking snippets, pixels, CallRail, etc.)
  • Excellent communication skills (writing punchy ad copy and landing page content is an everyday part of the job)
  • Top-notch reporting & Excel skills, including Supermetrics for Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, and Data Feeds (bonus: obsessed with having the lowest mouse-clicks to keyboards-clicks ratio per spreadsheet analysis)
  • Solid understanding of split testing and other methods of optimizing CTR, CPA, and ROAS

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience setting up and optimizing data feeds
  • Experience managing high ROI accounts within paid social, including platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Advanced GA & GTM experience (cross-domain tracking, eCommerce tracking, etc.)
  • Experience with conversion optimization, including A/B testing
  • Deep understanding of attribution across various platforms
  • Graphic design, Photoshop, or Canva experience
  • Experience with budget pacing and bid optimization tools like Optmyzr, Marin, Skai
